“ This place definitely deserves all 5 stars, it was amazing! When you walk in, you can see where they make the pasta, and it is so cool getting to see that. There's also so many different types of pasta, and we tried the Ube pasta. It is so cool getting to see all of the different types of pasta! Everyone that worked there was so nice, especially the lady who took our order. I wish I could've gotten her name to give her a shoutout because she was so kind and helpful. We tried the Ube Special, and it was on a bed of Ube noodles with pork lechón and stir fry veggies and a really good sauce. The flavors went together so well, and the pork lechón was cooked perfectly. They give you huge portions, and we were able to share the plate. The Ube cheesecake was really great as well! Overall, such a wonderful experience! ”
“ Wow! Double wow! I never thought that pasta could be made from avocado, but here it is, and it is fantabulous! Sooooo yummy - I cannot wait to try their other entrees. (Edit: Returned the next day to get more of the avocado garlic noodles AND the Ube Lechon Stirfry! Huge serving of deliciousness. Bet way to eat is to get noodles, an onion, piece of fresh tomato and finally a piece of juicy Lechon dipped in the vinaigrette sauce all in one bite! Altogether they bring out the flavor of the Lechon. This is a perfect melding of flavors!) For those uninitiated, since each pasta dish is freshly-made, expect wait times to exceed 90 minutes depending on how busy they are (strike that, they are always busy!). Since there is no place to eat here on-site, I recommend placing a pre-order in advance, then drive in to pick-up the order. It is well worth the 30-minute drive from Waikiki. Highly recommended!! ”
“ Super friendly service The cashier is so sweet. She is thoughtful and gave recommendations of where to go while we wait for the food and where to go eat and picnic at. She pulled out a map and common sight seeing spots LOL they call your cell phone number when it's ready. Can be 15-30 mins etc Loved all the dishes including the lechon and the coconut cream ones etc Very large portions I recommend trying different combination of noodles and meats and sauce etc and then share family style I can't exactly taste the taro or avocado or sweet potato in the noodles but flavor wise for the proteins and creams it's pretty delicious Take out only. Fast casual. No dine in The cheese cake was decadent ”
“ When on the windward side of Oahu, do not skip out on this well known eatery but before you do, call in your order 30 min in advance. This is not a dine in restaurant so if you're planning to eat right away, there is beaches nearby where you can park or sit at their picnic tables. The sweet owner taking our order gave us the suggestion to drive about 5 min away to He'eia State Park where they have tables thar overlook the ocean and we did just that! The Hawaiian style pasta was the first time we've had anything like it. They make fresh hand crafted pasta using produce from their local environment to be more sustainable by decreasing the need for imported goods. Not only does that reduce carbon emissions but it also supports their local farmers. Knowing that there is a meaningful cause behind their amazing food is the reason why I love supporting businesses like this. We decided on the Lechon Malunggay (Moringa) noodle plate and the Braised Short Ribs. The flavors of both dishes were so good! The noodles were a vibrant green and rich with superfood nutrients from the Moringa plant. It was paired with the crispy pork belly, tomatoes, onions, and special vinaigrette dressing which made a perfect blend of umami-ness. Then the braised short ribs were super tender and also very flavorful. I wish I could have sampled the other popular dishes too. The portions are enough for 2 people which makes the price point worth every oenny. This will definitely be top of my list every time we are back in Oahu! ”
“ WOW! The food was AMAZING!!! On top of the food being magnificent, the customer service was next level. Millie was incredible in taking our order and guiding us through the process! ”
“ The food is so good and she has many types of noodles. The dishes are super yummy. Everyone has to go there. They are super friendly and great to talk with her. Love this place ”
“ I don't find myself over in Kaneohe very often - I especially don't find myself over there very often with advanced notice, so it's always a treat when I get to grab lunch from Adela's Country Eatery. Advanced notice is highly necessary because you can always expect to wait approximately 45min- 1 hour for your food to be ready. Usually when I'm hungry, I'm HUNGRY! and I need to eat NOW! In those situations, don't bother with Adela's. Be sure to call in your order an hour ahead of time, and you may have to call several times to get through as well. Patience is a virtue, or so they say. Because I don't go often, I usually end up getting the same things. My go-to is the Lechon Malunggay which is a drier type of pasta (as opposed to a wet saucy pasta), but definitely well flavored, with some of the best lechon (crispy fatty pork - think Chinese roast pork, but Filipino) on top. It's GOOD! This last visit, I wasn't feeling like fried food, so I tried the Taro Special which is taro pasta with shrimp, luau leaves, mushroom, and a coconut cream sauce. Ohhh this was so good too. You really can't go wrong. So remember how I said that it's pricy? It is...one plate of either of those will come up to be close to $30 after tax. I usually try to aim for under $15, if not $10 for lunch. HOWEVER the portions are HUGE! I can usually stretch it out (without even trying) to 3-4 meals. If I'm going with my boyfriend, we usually get one plate and share (and we'll both stuffed by the time we finish). So when you work out the math, it's actually not too bad. Anyway, give it a try and be sure to call ahead. I've heard great things about their homemade desserts as well, but after spending $30 on lunch, and knowing how massive it is, I haven't bothered with dessert. One of these days...I'll try one of the cheesecakes. ”
“ Everything was absolutely perfect from the impeccable service to the delicious unique food options. Auntie Millie was so welcoming, kind and helpful. I hope she gets everything she wants in life and more :) The ube alfredo pasta & ube cheesecake was 10/10. I would stop by the next time I'm in Kaneohe :) ”
“ Adela's is a small hole in the wall restaurant in a fairly unassuming plaza. I recommend placing the order ahead of time which can vary from 25 minutes - 45 minutes depending on how busy they are. Great place to pickup fresh made noodles with a protein of your choice. One plate can feed 1.5-2 people and they are very generous with the protein. We got the lechon (very crispy but also tender) with the mulanggay noodles and it was super fresh and tasty! They sell fresh noodles you can take home with you and they also sell many desserts. We tried the ube cheesecake and the haupia ube bar as well. Ube cheesecake had a very deep ube flavor and the coconut ube bar was a really nice combination as well. Each dessert slice is large and it's difficult to finish in one sitting with one person. Definitely a great place to pickup takeout. We took our food to ho'omaluhia botanical garden to enjoy the ridges on Oahu! Definitely recommend coming here 5/5 ”
“ "Cup Noodle Song" - RothHandle Ever had your wallet blow a chunky hole, fly out of your pants and shoot straight up to the sky to Uranus? I'm just exaggerating, it shot up to Neptune, close. We drove across the island based on all these amazing reviews; and while the food was a 4-star, the price was a 2-star (for takeout) but the service, oh man, it was palpable and almost edibley sweet! I believe her name was Helen? Since we were going to drive across the island to pick up the food and drive back home, we figured we would order more than a few things so we could have it to eat the next day: Garlic Ulu Portabello $26.00 (approx price): never in my life I would have thought I would pay 26.00 for a take out. It was very good, but not almost-30-dollars good. Chewy noodles with nice texture, perfect garlic flavor. Local Fried Rice $23.00: just OK, nothing special that popped out. Braised Short Ribs $27.00: Good, but not fabulous. Taro Special $28.00: noodles on the mushier side, kind of bland, but OK. Pastrami Sandwich $20.00: with fries, just OK. Ube Cheesecake slice $9.00: supposedly the best cheesecake on the island....it was just OK, don't understand the hype, and the price was insane. Total cost about $130 dollars for a take out. Exorbitant. It was good, but not fabulous. The cost is a very significant prohibitive factor. If I were filthy rich, I'd probably eat here daily, but I'm just a poor girl I need no sympathy. Return factor - only if you are buying. ”
